If your maid-of-honor has been planning a big weekend away for your bachelorette party, then you may be excitedly wondering what you need to pack. Weekends away are great for bonding with friends and seeing old familiar faces for a momentous occasion. Some of the weekend’s events may be kept a secret from you, and so you will need to pack with surprise in mind.
Clothes for every occasion
It may be that your friends have some special surprises in store for you, in which case it’s wise to pack for every eventuality. You don’t want to pack for a weekend of nights-out and special brunches only to discover you have paint-balling during the day! Buying special pajamas and one-off clothing items will also become wardrobe favorites that will remind you of a good time. A week or two before you go, find some outdoor and nighttime staples from womens clothing online stores.
Some helpful just-in-case items include:
- Swimsuits
- Trainers
- Jeans
- T-shirt
- Towel
By preparing for every eventuality, you can ensure that you have a weekend to remember for all the right reasons. Don’t worry about the accessories. If your maid of honor has done her job, they’ll be ready and waiting for you!
Non-perishables
If you are all staying in a rented home or apartment, you will want to bring plenty of food and drink for the weekend. Of course, your friends and/or family may be planning on bringing their own nourishment for the weekend – and they may have plans on what to bring along. In which case, bring along plenty of non-perishables: potato chips, favorite candy and perhaps some bottles of fizz for celebration. Bringing your favorite snacks on top of other food will help to ensure your weekend goes off with a bang.
Face masks
When you finally wind down in the evenings, there’s nothing that says a bachelorette party like face masks. Finding hydrating masks are easier to apply and remove, particularly sheet masks, will save you the extra task of endless rinsing in the sink. On top of face masks, bringing other pampering items will help you to get the right balance of partying and relaxing. Putting some time aside for self-care will also give you some much needed time to catch up. On top of that, remember to bring makeup wipes and makeup removers. As tempting as it can be to fall into bed with a full face of makeup, it will do your skin no favors in the morning.
While you should have clothing items for every occasion, there’s no need to over-pack for a bachelorette weekend. Hopefully, your bridesmaids will give you a list of what to pack and what not to pack – without giving away too many surprises. While it can be tempting to bring just party clothes, remember that a great bachelorette party is about being comfortable too. Ultimately, you are spending time with your best friends and having a weekend away – there’s just as much time for loungewear as there is party-wear.
