How To Plan a Bachelorette Party for the First Time

Whether it’s a close friend or family member, planning a bachelorette party for somebody else can be difficult. From all the hard work it requires and the time, effort and planning, it may even feel like a full-time job.

But on top of all the things you need to do in preparation, there can also be a lot of pressure to make sure that everything’s perfect. When you’re planning it for somebody you love, there’s nothing you want more than for them to have the most special time imaginable – it only happens once! Well, hopefully.

So if it’s your first time, the task may seem daunting. Here are some important things to know when planning a bachelorette party for the first time.

The First Thing You Should Do is Chat to the Bride-To-Be

Surprises are always fun, but at the end of the day, it’s the bride’s special day. Unless you’ve known her your whole life and had extensive conversations about her future wedding, the first thing you should do is sit down with her and chat about what she wants.

The importance of this cannot be overstated – some women will be relaxed and happy to go with the flow, but others have imagined this day their entire lives and have very specific expectations. So sit down with the bride to be and find out her absolute needs and no-nos – you’ll be glad you did.

The Guest List Is Important

Even if you’re very close to the bride and share basically all the same friends, it’s still a good idea to get her to either create a guest list for you or have her check it before you send out invitations. Whether it’s an old friend from college or a new work colleague, there may be someone you don’t know about, and the last thing you want to do is leave someone out.

Prioritise the Bride’s Needs and Wants

Remember, you may be the planner, but it’s the bride’s special day. Whether you’ve had your own experience already or are still looking forward to your special day, you need to make sure that you put the bride’s feelings and wants first. Her opinion is the most important one!

Don’t Overdo It

Planning a bachelorette party can be really fun, so it may be tempting to try and fit in lots of different activities and games. But the last thing you want to do is try to cram too many things in – that leads to rushing around and at the end of the day, the most important thing is to spend time together celebrating the bride. So be conservative when planning, and keep the online casino South Africa entertainment for your own enjoyment when the party is done.

Things Will Go Wrong

You may not want to hear it, but it’s the truth. Just like with planning any kind of event, there will always be something that goes awry – whether it’s the weather or forgetting something at home. The best thing you can do is always have a back-up plan and just take everything with a pinch of salt.
