Top Gifts for Makeup Artists

Lifestyle

21 Dec

If you have a makeup lover in your life, there is a good chance you are thinking about implementing this into the gifts you are considering buying. That being said, as with all professions, there is the good, the bad, and the ugly when it comes to products, brands, and quality, which can make someone who has no idea about any of it scratch their heads and hope they do not waste their money.

Worry not! We are here to steer you in the right direction; if you are feeling brave, and are refusing to give in, give them a gift voucher and decide to call it a day.

Storage Solutions

If you know a makeup artist that appears to have anything and everything that they could possibly want, it can be difficult to know where to go from there. Instead, play it safe and useful by looking at some excellent storage solutions for your makeup fanatic. There never seems to be enough storage for all of the products and tools that makeup artists need for different things, so another storage solution should be welcome. You can choose from storage bags that can be carried around with them and opened up to a simple chic storage case that can be used at home for their everyday essentials.

If you are not sure what brand they would like, then have a little peak when you are over to see if there is anything that sticks out. If not, check out the reviews from other makeup artists!

Beginner Treats

If your loved one is relatively new to the makeup artist scene, then any good quality products to play around with will be sure to be received with grateful gusto!

First, find out what kind of makeup they are interested in, as there are actually many sectors. They might be interested in glam makeup, editorial looks, or even special effects makeup! This will narrow down what you should choose from to create a beginner kit or give them a couple of treats to start off with. Make sure to go for quality when choosing core special FX makeup products or glam makeup, and then the other more experimental items can be drugstores so they can get a feel for them.

Replacements of Their Favorites

If you have a particularly fussy friend who always wants to return anything that is bought for them, then play it safe and opt for a replacement of their tried and tested favorites. This means they will already have some in the bag for when their currents run out, and you will know for sure that they will be happy to receive them. This might require some secret spy work, or you might be able to ask other halves or work colleagues what they swear by or “will not leave the house without”.

Most makeup artists will be more than happy to try something new, so if you really have no idea but do want to get them something tangible, you can always pick from a current “hot” list.
