How to Unwind Before the Big Day

Lifestyle

5 Feb

A whole host of different emotions will be happening before your big day. You’ve probably been planning it for months and the nerves will be showing. You’re going to be nervous, excited, worried and possibly scared because you want everything to go as smoothly as possible. To stop your jitters getting the better of you, there are a number of things you can do before the big day. To begin with, you can make sure everything is sorted for the wedding. Find some time to spend with friends and family who may have traveled a long way for your special day. The night before, try some relaxation techniques and get a good night’s sleep. Here are some more suggestions.

Think Positive

Don’t worry about other people’s opinions about your ideas and preparations. This is your special day, and it’s what you and your partner want that counts. Adopt a can-do attitude and you’ll be amazed at how quickly it spreads. Thinking and acting positively will make those around you more relaxed, thereby making your dream day more of a reality.

Manage Your Adrenaline

Those butterflies fluttering around in your stomach can be hard to control, and they’ve probably been there for weeks now. Adrenalin is the cause, and it’s a hormone that helps you achieve the impossible. You can run faster, lift heavy weights and survive things you normally wouldn’t. It’s important for your survival but can get in the way on occasions. It can be controlled by relaxing your muscles and breathing deeply. By having a hobby such as vaping, you are able to focus your energy on one single task, plus by having proper equipment such as the right vape mods, you can easily unwind.

Get Plenty of Sleep

If you’re nervous, sleeping is not the easiest thing to do. Your excitement about the impending event is also going to be keeping you awake. Having a warm bath, relaxing with a book or listening to your favorite music should help you to relax enough to get some sleep. There are a number of other techniques you can use if you find yourself staring at the ceiling several hours later.

Exercise

Exercise will help you to burn off adrenaline and calm your nerves. It doesn’t have to be something too physical. A gentle exercise class, some yoga, going for a run or a bike ride, walking the dog or swimming will help to tire you out. Be careful you don’t overdo it and be too tired to walk down the aisle the next day. You want to burn off some of your nervous energy, not become exhausted.

There’s nothing wrong with feeling nervous and worried on your wedding day. Every bride feels the same. Some are just better at hiding it than others. One last tip is not to be afraid of delegating. You don’t have to take care of every little detail yourself. There will be plenty of people who will be only too happy to help make your day a memorable one.
