It’s in the Small Touches: How to Take Your Wedding to the Next Level

27 Jul

Weddings are one of the most joyous occasions in any person’s life. They can also become very expensive if you aren’t too careful. By scaling back and instead focusing on activities and decorations that actually bring you joy and will better your experience as the bride, you can cut out a lot of unnecessary expenses. Focus your attention and budget instead on the small touches that will elevate your experience and the experiences of your guests instead:

Offer Everyone a Camera

A photograph is worth 1000 words, and so by giving all of your guests a camera, you can capture the moments that your wedding photographer misses. Do this, and you can have a novel’s worth of memories at your disposal. The types of cameras you offer depend entirely on you. Instead of a camera, for example, you could instead print out instructions on how your guests can share the photos they take of the night onto a shared online album. Or you could buy disposable cameras for everyone to enjoy and for you to develop later. The more photos you have of your big night, the better!

Create a Video of Well Wishes

Weddings should be spent with those you love, and therefore hearing their good wishes personally and having them documented will be one of the best keepsakes you can take from the wedding. You don’t even need to have a professional videographer to capture these moments either. You could instead give the task to a family member or friend. Personal phones today have the video and audio quality to make the gift great, even if you yourself are the one who will later edit them all together.

Time Capsules for the Bride and Groom

Another great keepsake is a time capsule. Your guests can write you well wishes to be kept until your first or tenth anniversary, you can add in mementos and even gifts. Time capsules are fun and easy to put together on the day, making them a great feature to add to any wedding. What’s more, they can make the perfect anniversary gift years down the line, all at once.

Add Personalized Items for Guests to Take Home

Personalized items are great to elevate any wedding, and they can also make great keepsakes for your guests as well. You could get custom shot glasses made for your wedding, for example, that your guests can keep to remember the day. Make your personalized shot glasses funny or memorable, and they will bring a smile to your guests’ faces whenever they use them again. Just remember to buy your shot glasses in bulk so that you can ensure every guest gets one and you get the best price.

There are so many ways you can make your wedding special without blowing the bank. Prioritize events and items that will act as mementos later on in life, and you can relive your big day again and again.
