Too Cute Teacups!

A unique way to add something creative to your wedding is to use teacups as decorations. Antique teacups can be used to create a vintage feel to the wedding. If the bride has teacups of sentimental value, then that is a great way to incorporate meaning into the wedding. Places like Etsy and Anthropologie have all sorts of teacups for any taste and any occasion! I think teacups add such a cute, feminine feel to the wedding. I love the DIY candle teacups as bridesmaid favors, and of course I love the cupcakes in teacups… too cute! Using teacups in the wedding adds a creative and personal touch to any kind of wedding!

Hues You’ll Heart: Violet Talk

Violet, lavender, Orchid, lilac, mauve, plum- there are literally hundreds of shades of purple! So many shades that look fabulous when paired together! With so many shades of one color, it’s challenging to choose just one shade; luckily these purple hues can be paired together to create gorgeous palettes. Mismatched purple bridesmaid’s dresses look gorgeous when standing in line, and even better with bouquets made of different purple flowers. Purple is also a great palette to choose because it works for every season. In spring or summer add more bright violets, but in fall or winter add deeper purple hues, and you’ve got a perfect, season appropriate wedding! Whenever you choose to use it and however you plan to use it, there are definitely plenty of options for a perfect purple wedding!

A Piece of Cupcake!

Call me crazy, but I think there is a distinct difference between the way a cupcake tastes and a piece of cake tastes! I have always preferred cupcakes to cake, so I guess that explains why I am so fond of wedding cupcakes! Wedding cupcakes are a great alternative to a cake, because you can serve an assortment of flavors. Guests aren’t limited to one flavor or piece of cake; they can pick and choose what they want to try. Not only do cupcakes come in a wide variety, but bakers have gotten so creative with their designs (i.e.- Cupcake Wars!) that the little cakes are so much more than a dessert; they are a piece of art! I love everything about the wedding cupcake towers shown below; I especially love that at the top of the tower sits a mini- cake for the bride and groom to cut together. Cupcakes plus the cutting the cake tradition sounds like a win-win to me!’

Cupcake Craving!

Wedding ceremony is over… Dinner is served… Dancing has started… Now what? Cake time!! But which to choose? I’m craving chocolate, but I want to try the vanilla, but I don’t want a whole piece… so many decisions! How about we make this simple and just have wedding cupcakes?! I personally love cupcakes for any occasion. They are so cute (yes, cupcakes can be cute!) and so much easier to cater to everyone’s preferences. I would choose wedding cupcakes over a wedding cake, because you can serve different flavors, as well as different sizes, so everyone’s sweet tooth can be pleased!
