A New Kind of Wedding Program

It’s time to say bye-bye to traditional wedding programs with fancy script…Say hello to fun, clever, unique programs that will put a smile on your guests’ faces and have them wanting to take home an extra as a souvenir! Your wedding program should represent your wedding! Whether it is colorful, playful, romantic, or edgy, let the program be a symbol of you and your hubby’s personality.

You can include anything and everything in your wedding program. Include the norm- who’s in your wedding party, the order of events, the time and place of the reception, etc. Also include some fun and personality- how you are your hubby met, where you shared your first kiss, little snippets of your wedding party, pictures/drawings of your wedding party so your guests can recognize them, have a special thanks section to thank your parents, add your favorite love quote, etc. The possibilities are endless!

Perfect Accessories to Compliment Your Wedding Day Look

So you’ve found THE dress, you’ve found your pumps, you’ve found the best hair dresser in town to give you that perfect ‘do, but what about the accessories?! You want to add some finishing touches to complete your flawless wedding day look, but you don’t want to overdo it, right? Girl, I hear ya! I’d be lying if I said that it didn’t depend on your specific dress and your personal style. But, I’ve got a few tips to help lead you in the right direction so that you are looking absolutely fabulous on your big day.

Strapless Dresses

There are two ways you can go when accessorizing your strapless dress: go big or don’t go at all. I am head over heels in love with the idea of a chunky necklace with a strapless dress. It modernizes the look and gives a little personality and youthfulness. If you go with a chunky necklace, wear little stud earrings or no earrings at all! Don’t overdo it!

If you aren’t feeling the chunky necklaces, my advice to you is to wear no necklace at all! There is something innocent, romantic, and elegant about a beautiful strapless dress with no necklace. If you choose to go this route, have fun with chandelier or drop earrings! Just a little touch of sparkle will complete the look, guaranteed.

Sleeves and/or High Necklines

If your dress has sleeves or a high neckline, I say opt out of any necklace-dainty or chunky- and just add sweet little studs, drops, or little chandeliers. Even just a little pair of earrings will take your look from incomplete to perfection.

How to Add Color

Most brides opt for pearls and diamonds, but if you are wanted to add a little more fun to your wedding look,  you can add colorful jewelry- but be careful! Colorful accessories are so easily overdone. Don’t go crazy… just a little colorful pair of earrings or a necklace with a splash of color. That is all you need to achieve the look you want.

Hues You’ll Heart: Mints and Golds

Ahh, fresh mint and dramatic gold! I cannot get enough of this combination. I love the contrast between the cool and the warm, the modern and the timeless, and the chic and the elegant. Whether you are planning a winter wedding or a spring wedding, this color combination works! The gold gives the perfect amount of warmth to a chilly, wintery wedding, but the mint provides a refreshing touch to a hot summer celebration. Guess what makes this color combo even better? Mint is projected to be a huge hit in the wedding industry this year! Look at the photos below and start planning your minty fresh wedding!

1940s Swingin’ Wedding Inspiration

Pin curls, bright red lips, swing skirts, and platform pumps… Y’all I’m talking about those swingin’ 1940s! I am in love with fashion and I am in love with the 1940s. And I think this is SUCH a perfect theme for a wedding. I can’t think of anything more romantic than a bride in a vintage, flowy, simple gown standing next to a groom in a double-breasted jacket, vest, and fedora. Add little touches of army green, coke bottles, or peanuts, and you are sure to have your 1940s wedding swingin’ in style!

Create an Elegant Outdoor Wedding with Church Pews

Do you love the idea of an outdoor wedding, but still want the feeling of getting married in a church? Well, we have an amazing idea that will leave your wedding wishes fulfilled. I am loving the idea of placing antique, rustic church pews outside to create a romantic, shabby chic, elegant outdoor wedding. Church pews outside leave so much room for creativity and decoration. Place colorful pillows on the pews to emphasize your theme or colorway, or place flowers at the foot of each pew to create a floral-filled aisle! If you are wanting an antique, shabby chic feel, try mix and matching different colors and types of pews and chairs. The ideas are endless! Check out the photos below for more inspirations!
