Happy 4th of July from Society Bride! This is my favorite holiday of the year because the only requirement is to have fun (and be on the lake, drink beer, and shoot fireworks) But mainly, you can let your hair down, show up to a random lake house and know that you are going to have the time of your life celebrating our great country! I’ve always thought a 4th of July wedding would be so fun- and there’s a free fireworks show! Who can complain about that? Red, white & blue is a popular color combo for the summer anyway, so here is some inspiration! If you don’t want to go full America theme then a crisp red & white and a nautical white & blue theme could be perfect for you!
To kick off this holiday week I am showcasing a wedding that combines summer and southern tradition- a seersucker suit! Perfect in the light blue and white combo, seersucker is both formal and casual. It is a great summer fabric because it is lightweight and breathable, it does not show stains or wrinkles easily, and it can be both formal and casual. This groom looks fantastic in seersucker, and I love how the bride features a pink and white seersucker on her bouquet. Complimentary, but not matching. That seems to be a theme this season? The beautiful film photography comes from Jonathan Connolly Photography and the wedding was held at a private estate in Florida.
