Although my middle name is Rose, my absolute FAVORITE flowers in the world are peonies. I love the unique shape and vibrant, playful colors. A low maintenance plant that is easy to grow and beautiful to look at… What else could you ask for? The peony really is the perfect flower! Peonies are very versatile, and they come in many different colors, sizes, and designs. Peonies look beautiful as table centerpieces, bouquets, and even as wedding cake decorations! I absolutely love a blooming peony as a cake topper! The ultra girly peony looks even prettier when paired with understated succulents. Overall, the peony comes in so many gorgeous varieties that the wedding details are endless! If you LOVE peonies as much as we do, be sure to pick a wedding date between April & June! Their peak season comes around Mother’s Day and that is when you will find the best peonies domestically.

Hues You’ll Heart: Charcoal and Blush

Similar to the popular gray and pink scheme, charcoal and blush are another popular and beautiful palette choice! It’s no wonder this is a popular palette- just look at how perfect the final results turn out! I love charcoal and blush because they are such fabulous opposites. Charcoal is a deep and dark hue, while blush is a dainty and feminine color, but paired together they work beautifully together. The blush is great at downplaying the charcoal. I especially love the mismatched bridesmaids dresses in both colors. A mercury vase with pink peonies would be a perfect centerpiece for this palette. This palette definitely has many options and many ways to put your own creative spin on it!

A great color combination for a playful, trendy couple! This pink and yellow shoot was styled by Bows & Arrows. Based in Dallas, Bows & Arrows is known for their attention to detail and DIY qualities. The shoot features yellow pom pom flowers and pink peonies and roses, etc. in white vases. Pink and white poms bring a little playfulness to the table. The pink and yellow cookies are almost too cute to eat, and are flanked by yellow hankerchief napkins!
