Dylan Lauren, the only daughter of designer and mogul Ralph Lauren, married hedge fund founder Paul Arrouet on June 11 in Bedford, NY. Dylan got every girl’s dream dress- a custom gown designed by her father. The dress was one-of-a-kind; ethereally beautiful with a nine-foot tiered train.
Dylan and Paul’s wedding was featured in the August 2011 issue of Vogue. According to Andre Leon Talley’s profile, Dylan wore a “handmade duchesse satin, silk tulle, georgette embroidered dress with a tiered train” Talley also included details of the wedding, such as high profile guests and the bridesmaids dresses-they wore Candy Bar logo colors with optional custom-made spanx. Dylan also had engraved chocolate place settings, centerpieces of hydrangeas, roses and lilies, and a Sylvia Weinstock cake featuring a rabbit motif. Pictures are sparce, so here are ways to recreate the wedding look!
Look for a mermaid style dress with an intricate bottom. Dylan had a nine-foot train, but that might be a little too long for some brides. Detail at the train will make up for a lack of length. One-shouldered gowns are popular, but look for an off-the-shoulder detail.
