My first thought when I saw Elle Macpherson step onto the red carpet at the Golden Globes was how effortlessly ethereal she looked. Would that dress not make the most beautiful bridal gown? And throw on some big gold earrings, and colorful bangles for a fun reception look. Her hair was beautiful, and a light veil would look gorgeous pinned into the crown. Wearing a gorgeous Zac Posen gown and jewelry by Lorraine Schwartz, the supermodel looked better than anyone else on the red carpet!
If you love Anthropologie’s boho-chic style, then you’ll flip over the company’s latest retail concept, BHLDN, a bridal boutique set to launch online this Valentine’s Day. The collection will consist of weddings gowns ($1000-$4000), bridesmaid/event dresses ($200-$600), accessories, shoes, lingerie, jewelry, and even wedding decor (debuting online in May). WWD has the scoop on what to expect (unique details like pleating, pearl-studded flowers, chiffon butterflies, over-sized bows) such as the styles featured below.

Sample sales are abundant in New York, but to those of us in other parts of the country it’s a rarity. Thanks to online sites like The Aisle New York, brides across the country now have access to designer wedding gowns at discount prices through exclusive online sales. Sales will run for a limited time for members (membership is free) only, who will receive email notices of upcoming sales. Most of the merchandise is from previous seasons and therefore typically priced at 50% off retail. In addition to gowns, the site also offers a selection of veils and headpieces, jewelry, lingerie, shoes, and evening bags. Sign up now using this link to shop selections from Elizabeth Fillmore, Angel Sanchez, Oscar de la Renta accessories, Monique Lhuillier, and Suzanne Couture Millinery January 3.
