Do you have any favorite new trends, tools or products that you specifically recommend for brides?

Don’t use SPF products. Use mineral when possible. The zinc in physical blockers can make you look raccoon or white in the face from the flash for pictures. Chemical sunscreens are a major acne producer. Save the sunscreen for the honeymoon!

What is the biggest mistake you’ve seen brides make in terms of makeup/beauty? And how do you help brides avoid those mistakes?

Trying to hard to create some image they think they “should” have. Be yourself just better in makeup and hair. You want to recognize yourself in the pictures. Give him the girl he fell in love with. Don’t fight for a hair style. If your hair doesn’t want to be stick straight and you get hot it goes curly maybe you should consider a happy medium. It’s a can of hair spray and a curling iron against mother nature. We aren’t going to win! Have right sized expectations. Choose a bridal specialist not your favorite hair dresser. You could ruin a great relationship and not have your hairdresser after the wedding!

What are your top 3 beauty/makeup tips & tricks for brides before walking down the aisle?

Don’t try anything new on your face or hair 2 months before the wedding! You may not have time to heal the skin or correct that color!
Be strategic with shimmer. Highlight the brow bones and slightly on the cheeks. Too much shimmer can read as oily skin in photography.
Trust yourself. Everyone will have an opinion and be willing to give it. You know what you don’t want if nothing else s start with that. If you defer to the pros or your mom and best friend you may end up with what they wanted not what you wanted.

Gone are the days of little white dresses and little white patent shoes for the flower girls, and gone are the days of little black tuxes with black ties for the ring bearers.
