Fort Worth Wedding by Amanda Marie Portraits

Happy Friday! Let’s celebrate this day with a wedding from Amanda Marie Portraits! Y’all know how much we love sweet Amanda. Coming to you today is the union of Corey & Michelle. This TCU couple was married in Fort Worth on St. Patrick’s day! Michelle and her ladies got ready in a true FW fashion- with cowhide chairs! Now that is my kind of girl. The couple was married at the University Christian Church- a breathtaking Spanish style church that is across the street from TCU. It’s a church I drove by every day during my days as a Horned Frog.

From there, the beautiful wedding party traveled in style {drinks and all!} to the purple reception at the Ridglea Country Club. This is a true Fort Worth wedding- don’t miss all of the great TCU purple details, y’all!

Mondays with Madi : Amanda Marie Portraits

Happy Monday Y’all!

Just a few weeks back BRS and I finally made the much-anticipated decision on who would photograph our big day!  With many close friends in the business of photography, this was very difficult for us.  We wanted raw and authentic images to remember the day and the works of Amanda Marie Portraits stole our hearts.

Amanda is the mastermind and raw talent behind Amanda Marie Portraits in Fort Worth, TX.  She began her business at the age of 18, pursuing an interest that turned into a passion.   Since Amanda Marie Portraits began in 2009, Amanda has served those in the Dallas/Fort Worth area with her gifts and she has even photographed destination weddings in Hawaii, Mexico, and Florida.

Her work has been featured in some of my favorite wedding gems such as Style Me Pretty, Brides of North Texas and Green Wedding Shoes.  Might I add that she is also the sneaky one who shot the photos of BRS popping the question which you’ve seen on here and was also featured on one of my favorite blogs, Southern Weddings Magazine, just last month!

Not only does Amanda own a successful photography business, she has a heart of gold.  She pursues the Lord with all her heart and uses the talents He has given her to bring Him glory.  Every time we get together, it is always great having the opportunity to discuss life, love and of course, the wedding industry with this sweet girl. Amanda encourages and challenges me as I work toward my career and personal goals.  I am so thankful for her and her friendship.

Amanda captures some of the most beautiful and authentic images.  She does incredible bridal portraits, engagement sessions, weddings, style shoots…the list goes on and on.

See her website and blog for more of these gorgeous photos!

Post-Wedding Shoot in Puerto Rico

I am absolutely in love with this post-wedding photo shoot! The couple jetted to Puerto Rico for some after-the-fact beauty. I think this might be the perfect start to a honeymoon, what do you think? The bride is wearing White by Vera Wang found at David’s Bridal. It is a beautiful, and very affordable, dress that is perfect for a rehearsal dinner, bridal shower, engagement photoshoot.. and a honeymoon shoot! Check out this great shoot, photographed by Vanessa Velez Photography.

Horse Ranch Bridal Portraits by Stacy Reeves

Coming to you this morning is a purely Texan bridal portrait. Stacy Reeves shot Jessica at her family’s horse ranch in Pilot Point. These photos match rustic and glamour perfectly. Jessica looks great in her a-line lace gown with her hair softly pinned up. While Jessica is obviously the star of this show, her horse is quite the model as well!

Surpise Engagment Shoot with Bowtie Vintage Classics

There is nothing better than that bride-to-be glow. But to have your groom set up a surpise photoshoot when he pops the question? That might take the cake! Suprise engagement photoshoots have become popular, and it is obvious why. It is a sign of true love when your fiance-to-be sets up a photographer, a stylist, a hair and makeup artist, and even rents some very cool vintage decor. John suprised Janet with an engagment styled by Couture Events by Lottie and photographed by Jonathan Ivy Photography. To get his vintage decor, John used vintage queen Rita of Rent My Dust and his lady was beautified by Lashes & Curls by Cerly. But that fantastic car? It came from Bowtie Vintage Classics. The white 1951 Chevy Bel Air even comes with a chauffeur in suspenders and a bowtie!
