Ombre is a trend that will continue to be a fashion success for this spring and summer. For those of you who need a refresher course on French, vernacular ombre means shade, which you can see is pretty obvious from the pictures below. You’ll see a lot of ombre with shades of pink, but that is not the only color that looks fabulous with ombre. You can use ombre with one main color like purple or peach, or use it with multiple colors like blue, green and yellow. Ombre is a very popular trend for cakes, and some bakers are even incorporating ombre on the inside layers of cake!

Your bridesmaids can dress to the trend too! You can have them in an ombre gown or have each girl in a different shade of the color to create an ombre effect in pictures.

And just when you thought you’ve seen enough, here are some more wonderfully ombre cakes for you to enjoy!

The soft fading effect of colors will look stylish, and chic at your spring or summer wedding celebration. Don’t you just love ombre? I know I do!
