My first thought when I saw Elle Macpherson step onto the red carpet at the Golden Globes was how effortlessly ethereal she looked. Would that dress not make the most beautiful bridal gown? And throw on some big gold earrings, and colorful bangles for a fun reception look. Her hair was beautiful, and a light veil would look gorgeous pinned into the crown. Wearing a gorgeous Zac Posen gown and jewelry by Lorraine Schwartz, the supermodel looked better than anyone else on the red carpet!

Destination Weddings- Fill the Suitcase with Stylish Essentials!
You won’t be flying in just for the ceremony and reception so don’t forget to pack your favorite travel clothes and accessories! As the bride you will be photographed over and over again so don’t let your fashion sense slip up. Tissue tees from Madewell are perfect- but you can find some at your local target as well! Don’t skimp on a casual cardigan or wrap, this will keep you warm at night! I love the ones at J.Crew. Maxi dresses & skirts are so comfortable and will keep you looking stylish- pack a few in bright, festive colors! Throw in your favorite bikini that you feel most confident & a tunic coverup.

Last, but certainly not least are your accessories. A pair of knockout wedges will keep our legs looking fabulous, make sure your toes look just as great! A pre-flight mani/pedi will relax you before you takeoff. Large earrings in coral or turquoise will go with everything you wear. If you can find space in your suitcase (or your hubby’s) add a couple bright scarfs in fun prints!

Modern Twist on Classic Wedding in Austin
A mermaid dress, oversized blooms, lace veil, al fresco reception, long tables, and a tent make this wedding absolutely to-die-for. All of that coupled with beautiful photography from Jennifer Lindberg Weddings create absolute perfection. This Texas wedding was originally featured on Style Me Pretty. The Bride mixed contemporary and classic with natural elements. She refrained from choosing a color scheme and instead dressed her ‘maids in grassy green and paired them with bouquets of green, coral, orange and pink. To create a homey feeling the bride purchased white slipcovered sofas from Ikea and resold them after the wedding. Genius!! Everything about this wedding flows together but is not matchy-matchy. Just a fair warning readers- you might be obsessed!
Breathtaking Bridal Portrait from Brooke Ogilvie Photography
This bridal portrait of the now Megan Pruitt Winder absolutely took my breath away. Brooke Ogilvie is a photographer based in Dallas/Fort Worth, but she travels all over Texas. Megan’s bridal portraits took place at an equestrian facility in Sugarland, TX I can’t get over how beautiful Megan looks in her ballgown. The beaded bodice has excellent detail and shimmers in exactly the right way. Megan’s hair is an undone-updo that fits her smile and her grace. She uses a pop of color with her blue and turquoise earrings. Check out Brooke’s blog for more photographs of Megan’s bridals and her wedding!
