Pink & Green Garden Wedding in a Southern Plantation

Spring is definitely upon us with pastel hued weddings. Today’s wedding comes from Adam Barnes and features our favorite colors of the season- why, pink and green of course! This Southern couple comes from Southern Weddings and they have incorporated all sorts of wonderful wedding traditions- like wrapping the bride’s bouquet in the lace from her mother’s wedding gown! I love that, don’t you? Check out all of this beauty! My favorite is the first photo- who doesn’t love champagne?!

Spring Wedding with Bright Florals and Pops of Color

This Arizona wedding is DIY friendly with bright colors and floral elements. There are so many things about this wedding that are deliciously southern. My favorites include the groom’s blue seersucker suit and the bridesmaids Lily Pulitzer-esque dresses! Some of the many Do-It-Yourself elements in this wedding are the heart-shaped programs, the boutinerres and the oversized poms hanging from the chairs. Even the reception can be recreated with mirrored trays and simple flowers. This lovely wedding at the  Stillwell House and Garden  in Tucson, Arizona was photographed by Elyse Hall Photography and found on our favorite, Style Me Pretty.

New Orleans Mardi Gras Wedding filled with Tradition

A few years ago I traveled to New Orleans, and y’all, I think I left a little bit of my heart there! It is the city where my sweet parents honeymooned and I hope to experience it one day with them. This New Orleans wedding from Southern Weddings is filled with all of the wonderful details of New Orleans that you would expect- purple and turquoise, crawfish, Cafe Dumont, and a fabulous band leading everyone down Bourbon Street. One of my favorite Southern elements is The Second Line- a march through the heart of the French Quarter, led by a fantastic brass quartet called Kinsfolk. Some of the sweeter moments included the couple marrying in the Louisiana Museum of State History, with the ring ceremony led by the bride’s grandfather.
