This past weekend our team had the pleasure of attending and covering The Swoon Event in Dallas. This is not your run-of-the-mill bridal show. Nor is it your run-of-the-mill bridal market. Picture Pinterest - and spending an afternoon pinning beautiful, awe-inspiring, gotta-have-it-now goodness for parties and weddings…but in person. You can imagine the giddiness and ear to ear smiles. The Swoon Event took place at The Green Warehouse in the Trinity Groves community of Dallas and (sidebar: if you live in Dallas, near Dallas, or are planning a trip to Dallas – you must visit this vibrant, thriving, eclectic destination) primarily features non-traditional goods, services and inspiration for locals who are planning a wedding or event. However, you don’t have to be a Dallas Fort Worth native to partake. For example, Winifred Bean (our newest obsession) can be shopped online. Also available worldwide – Appy Couple, Design Roots, Posta Bella, Damsel White Label, Picture Perfect Day, and Apryl Ann Photography. If you love working with independant designers, are obsessed with discovering new talent, crave incredible distinctive art, and enjoy shopping small businesses then we highly recommend checking out and following all of The Swoon Event vendors.

Custom & Vintage Stamps
With the recent rise in postage costs, why not take some time to revamp your stamps? Custom and vintage stamps are a unique touch that can add a personalized statement to invitations, thank you notes, and more. You can chose from a customized monogram stamp, featuring your new initials or perhaps chose a vintage stamp that corresponds with your theme. Sites like Zazzle and Champion Stamp Company are a great place to start when looking at personalizing your postage. When using custom stamps, it is important to consider requesting hand canceling at the post office. Hand canceling will preserve the look of your beautiful new stamps and prevent those dreaded barcode markings. How would you customize your stamps for the big day?
If You’re a Bird, I’m a Bird
Calling all you love birds planning to tie the knot! Whether you are just starting to plan your wedding or looking for the finishing touches, I’ve got just the idea for you! I am loving the idea of bird details! Birds are such a great way to symbolize your love for each other. If done right, they can be sweet little surprises for your guests nested all around your reception. What’s cuter than a lovebird cake topper? more beautiful than vintage birdcages hanging from trees? more romantic than the releasing of doves at the ceremony? Not much if you ask me! You can even add nests and feathers for subtle bird details to tie the look all together. Just look at how darling bird details can add so much character and romance to your big day…
