Hues You’ll Heart: Solid Gold
At Alec Baldwin’s recent July wedding nuptials to Hilaria Thomas, the couple used touches of gold at their lavish star-studded affair. The Baldwin wedding featured a gold cake and a small gold ring bearer tray that beautifully accented a white and beige wedding reception. Like Baldwin and Thomas, you too can add gold to your color palette. Whether it’s the food, table décor, a bride’s accessories, party favors, or lighting, gold can produce that extra sparkle to impress your guests. I know gold can be an over powering color, but a little bit of gold won’t hurt. You can easily incorporate the shimmery color into your summer wedding and make everyone feel like royalty.
Charleston Wedding with Touches of Peach
This Charleston wedding inspires me to scrap every wedding idea in my head and plan a pacific coast destination wedding. A destination wedding does not have to entail a trip across the ocean to a foreign country with a language you don’t understand- it can be a trip to the other side of America! I consider this to be a “nation-station wedding” What do you think of that? But in all seriousness, this Charleston wedding by Charlotte Elizabeth brings me back in time to a true Southern event- dripping in flowers, romance, and my mama’s favorite phrases! A lot of this wedding was created by the bride & family- including a gorgeous Swarovski crystal bridal comb that was designed by the Bride’s mom. Additionally, the bride designed the posters & tote bags and created them in a silkscreen studio in Manhattan.
