When you’re a busy bride planning a wedding we know you can use all the help you can get. So we have put together 6 hand-picked, thoughtful and personalized gift ideas that are perfect for a special father-of-the-bride gift and could also double as a father’s day gift. Made of 100% cotton, the Gentleman’s Plain Handkerchief is the perfect gift for that hard to buy for dad. Featuring a crisscross like texture, these handkerchiefs are always a welcomed gift. Consider personalizing with embroidered names, date or monogram as an added touch. We adore these personalized golf ball markers found on etsy.com. These hand-stamped, sterling silver markers make a wonderful gift for the golfer in your life. Another favorite find is this unique Footed Pilsner Glass. This design has a very unique design extends to the height of a traditional toasting flute. We love the idea of personalizing for dad with a custom message and pairing it with his favorite selection of beer. Our next find is a luscious brown leather flask which comes in an assortment of designer personality patches for a gift that will truly reflect his style. And last but not least, if your old man loves wine, shootin pool and or golf, look no further… you have found the perfect gift. These stoppers are crafted from actual vintage golf and pool balls so style, brand and “wear” will vary.
Holly and Marty met during their last semester at Mississippi State. They bonded because they both liked “The Format” (the band) and once Holly’s dog, Penny Lane, approved of Marty – that’s when Holly decided he was worth getting to know. Marty proposed while they were flying kites at Vintage Villas (gorgeous venue in Austin for out door weddings) so their thoughtful wedding photographer, Whitney Lee Photography, decided to recreate the same scene during a particularly beautiful Austin spring day. The photo shoot continued downtown Austin where they used colorful balloons for a punchy prop. For more engagement sessions ideas and inspiration visit Whitney Lee Photography’s blog.

We have discovered a great find for couple looking for an alternative guest book for their wedding. The Memory Box presents an easily personalized alternative to the traditional guest book. Two different styles of stationery are available which will nestle perfectly inside the box. The stationery can be left out for guests to write their own personal message on, which when completed will be placed inside the keepsake box. A sign is supplied which will ensure that the guests know what is expected of them. The finished memento is a richly colored wooden box containing the well wishes and advice from all those that attended the wedding. Both stylish and sturdy, the Memory Box will stand the test of time and hold the precious memories to be enjoyed in years to come. NOTE: Stationery is sold separately and personalization starts at $8.00 USD. Shop this item and more in our online bridal boutique.
Meet Caroline and Keith…soon to be man and wife. Caroline grew up in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. She graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 2007 majoring in Business and Marketing. She enjoys cooking/baking, traveling, being outdoors, reading and going to the movies. Caroline currently works for a publishing solutions company doing account management and customer service. Keith grew up in Weatherford, Texas. He graduated from Texas Tech University in 2006 majoring in Business and Marketing. He enjoys sporting events, being outdoors, traveling and eating Caroline’s baked goods. Keith is also a proud Dallas firefighter.
Their story….Keith & Caroline met through a mutual friend. After a failed attempt to be introduced, Keith asked the mutual friend for Caroline’s number and they met up one evening for dancing and mechanical bull riding at Gilly’s Dallas. They danced the night away and before the night was over Keith asked Caroline out on their first date to celebrate her birthday. They became instantly attracted through their shared similarities and a relationship soon blossomed. Keith and Caroline became fast friends, spending most of their free time together, going to many Stars and Ranger games, being active outdoors, and traveling. They fell in love on a ski trip to Pagosa Springs, Colorado after only 2 months of dating.
We’ve had the pleasure of supporting this incredible couple in their wedding planning. Caroline and Keith will tie the knot this June at Highland Park United Methodist Church with a reception to follow at the Hotel Palomar. Their special day will be documented by J. May Photography, who also photographed these gorgeous engagement photos.
Best Wishes Caroline and Keith! A million thank you’s for allowing The Wedding Party Studio to be apart of your journey!
