A Colorful Austin Engagement Session

Holly and Marty met during their last semester at Mississippi State. They bonded because they both liked “The Format” (the band) and once Holly’s dog, Penny Lane, approved of Marty – that’s when Holly decided he was worth getting to know. Marty proposed while they were flying kites at Vintage Villas (gorgeous venue in Austin for out door weddings) so their thoughtful wedding photographer, Whitney Lee Photography, decided to recreate the same scene during a particularly beautiful Austin spring day. Almost Married: Caroline & Keith

Meet Caroline and Keith…soon to be man and wife. Caroline grew up in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. She graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 2007 majoring in Business and Marketing. She enjoys cooking/baking, traveling, being outdoors, reading and going to the movies. Caroline currently works for a publishing solutions company doing account management and customer service. Keith grew up in Weatherford, Texas. He graduated from Texas Tech University in 2006 majoring in Business and Marketing. He enjoys sporting events, being outdoors, traveling and eating Caroline’s baked goods. Keith is also a proud Dallas firefighter.

Their story….Keith & Caroline met through a mutual friend. After a failed attempt to be introduced, Keith asked the mutual friend for Caroline’s number and they met up one evening for dancing and mechanical bull riding at Gilly’s Dallas. They danced the night away and before the night was over Keith asked Caroline out on their first date to celebrate her birthday. They became instantly attracted through their shared similarities and a relationship soon blossomed. Keith and Caroline became fast friends, spending most of their free time together, going to many Stars and Ranger games, being active outdoors, and traveling. They fell in love on a ski trip to Pagosa Springs, Colorado after only 2 months of dating.

We’ve had the pleasure of supporting this incredible couple in their wedding planning. Caroline and Keith will tie the knot this June at Highland Park United Methodist Church with a reception to follow at the Hotel Palomar. Their special day will be documented by J. May Photography, who also photographed these gorgeous engagement photos.
